Z8090 Civil War Bullet in Wood, Bentonville, NC
Description: Nice example of a Civil War bullet in wood recovered from the Battle of Bentonville located in North Carolina. A pocket has been carved into the wood exposing a three-ring projectile. The wood itself is dense and is known as heart pine which preserves itself due to the resin contained within. This piece was coated at one point and there is a dull hazy finish over most of the piece. A nice example that has some weight and size to it!
Measures: 29.5” x 5.75”
Weight: 5lbs. 2ozs.
Recovered: Battle of Bentonville, North Carolina
