Z8436 .38 Extra Long Rimfire Cartridge by U.M.C.
Description: Nice example of the .38 extra-long rimfire cartridge. This example was manufactured for use in Ballard, Remington, Howard, Robinson, and other single-shot rifles. It was made by the Union Metallic Cartridge Company of Bridgeport, Connecticut. It has a flat nose bullet with two cannelures and a long copper case. This example has the scarcer raised "U” headstamp.
Headstamp: Raised "U” within a depressed circle.
