Z6583 Third Infantry Officer’s Coat Button (War of 1812)
Description: Nice, excavated War of 1812 3rd Infantry Regiment officer’s pattern coat button. This example is missing the shank and still has 95%+ of the silver plating left on the face. It could be cleaned up or left as is. The face of the button has "U.S.III” over a ribbon with "E Pluribus Unum” above the eagle and "REGT” below. An excellent War of 1812 relic that would highlight any button collection!
Backmark: "*TREBLE PLATED*” with eagle.
Measures: 23.87mm

Recovered: Fort Everett in Central Pennsylvania
